John Lennon is my Hero

I have always been a huge fan of the Beatles, read countless books about their lives and about john’s life.   He always struck me as an amazing individual, and artist, but I have become torn over the past few years. I stumbled on a book by his first wife Cynthia Lennon (she was with him before the beginning of it all up until he met yoko). The book was called john. I would recommend it to anyone who is an avid fan of his or the Beatles for that matter, only it really opens you up to what a dick he was at points in his life. Due to drugs or whatever, the stuff this poor woman had to go through after supporting him for such a long time, it made me question my enthusiasm for him. I guess I am still quite undecided, and until I figure it out, I will continue to blame it on yoko, because my dislike for her knows no bounds.

This is a clip I’ve found of a interview done with John back when he was in trouble with the US government, the kid interviewing him is 14 years old. I think the animations with the audio are really neat.  I also love what he has to say about the situation and about violence. It boggles my mind that his words are still relevant to many conflicts in the world right now. If John Lennon and Heath Ledger were to both magically come back to life, I don’t think I would ever have a reason to be unhappy again. Anyway here is the clip, enjoy!
